Alfa Romeo seems to be desperate

How desperate, you Jalops may ask?

Alfa is offering me a 9 month pull ahead on my Fiat 500 lease, letting me out of it with no obligation (so no adding of the unpaid balance to a new lease).

Nevermind that the 3 year residual estimate on my lease was at least $1500 too generous to begin with.

I don’t particularly want an Alfa as my next car (or anything that’s not a small hatchback for that matter), but if any Jalops have been eyeing a new Alfa - now might be a good time to go shopping.

A lease is nothing more than “buying miles” on a car.

IMHO, if you like the Alfa brand and their “cost per mile” numbers make it a great deal, heck...go for it.

Giulia doesn’t come with manual in US of A. They can keep it.

I signed up for updates on it. Then news broke no manual in states. I emailed them back and told them how unhappy I was. I am sure that email ended up in garbage or never even made it to their side.

essentially, when you lease you’re pretty much only paying for the depreciation of the car. you pay the initial hit up front (“cash due at signing”) and the incremental via the monthly payment.

was going to say just that ... they’re not desperate enough to offer something worth driving with a stick over here

Again, “cost per mile” should be the only metric when considering leasing.

OK, that and “is the vehicle ugly”.

They’re not truly desperate until they start inviting customers to fuck their wives...

lol

Real damn shame too. What a car that would be. Quick and manual and a looker. But no. Here is a couch with a Go button. See life go by as you have no input.

Yeah plenty of those already ... might as well get a V6 Camry/Accord and be done with it if a rocket couch is all you want
